Since 2005, 23 districts and eleven independent cities have been working together in partnership for the very dynamic "Metropolitan Region" project. Together, we meet the challenges that the growing Europe demands from us all. The number of member municipalities is large, but that is probably why we work together in an organized and structured way - for the benefit of the inhabitants and the whole region.
The Nuremberg Metropolitan Region is the voluntary association of regional actors across administrative borders. This alliance opens up new opportunities. Visibility in the world and is our response to globalization.

Diverse culinary specialties are an important expression of the high quality of life in the Nuremberg Metropolitan Region. The regional campaign "Unsere Originale" promotes the diversity of regional specialties and products.
